The old Louisville & Nashville Railroad Outbound Freight Depot was located at 10th Avenue North & Charlotte Avenue (M.L.K. Jr. Blvd.). Construction began on this building in 1898, being completed in 1900. It was a major center for manufactured goods leaving Nashville, as well as for raw goods and equipment coming in. The building was partially destroyed by a fire in 1943. Many years later Nutrena Feeds used it as a warehouse up until the building was razed in 1973.
