The James K. Polk Hotel, named after our nation's 11th president, was located on the corner of East Main Street & Spring Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Georgian Colonial style 57 room hotel was built in 1929, and designed by Nashville architect Donald W. Southgate. A landmark for the city for almost fifty years, the hotel closed in 1973, and razed in 1977 to make way for the Murfreesboro Bank and Trust Co. Building.
