Built in 1853, it was originally the State Bank of Tennessee, designed by Francis Strickland. This building was located on the Northeast corner of 4th Avenue North and Union Street. This structure was razed in 1890 to build the Wilcox Building, which was razed in 1915 to build the American National Bank Building.
