Who We Are

Childhood!!! Many of us have so many pleasant memories that come flooding back in to our minds when we think about what life was like when we were kids.  Most of my fondest memories center around baseball. Hazy, long summer days spent playing pickup games with friends, collecting baseball cards and writing letters to my baseball heroes like Tom Seaver and Willie Stargell. I can also remember imagining that I was great baseball player making an awesome play. It would be easy to say that I did not become a major league baseball player, and that was the end of the story. However, that is just the beginning of the story because in actuality I hit a home run when I started R. Hogan Enterprises.  Our mission began quite simply as a desire to sell quality Blem (blemished) baseball bats at competitive prices.  In fact, we are actually one of the first companies to ever sell Blem bats. But over the years it has become so much more than that. Since we opened our doors in 2005, we have seen a trend in which we no longer just sell to baseball enthusiasts. We soon began receiving emails and pictures from customers who were using our blem bats to create beautiful works of art. Our bats are now not only being used in ballgames but in everything from commemorative walls to furniture. So now, our mission has become to sell you the best quality blem bats at competitive prices in addition to providing you with the best customer service experience but just as important,  we want to inspire you to allow your imaginations to soar and when you think about it, isn’t that what made childhood so special? Our ability to imagine, our ability to dream. “Turn a mistake in to a masterpiece”.

I just bought one of your bats and we are so excited. My son, who is 5, has really taken to baseball. He broke his other wood bat yesterday and his grandfather is coming into town today. Very excited he gets to refinish this bat in time for his game on Saturday. This is a biggie! Thanks.
