Nashville Mayor Thomas Cummings at the Colemere Club during "Hillbilly" party. Notice Cummings jokingly wearing "Vote Ben West" buttons. West was his opponent in the mayoral race, of which West won.

Thomas L. Cummings was Mayor of Nashville from 1938-1951. He enjoyed hosting parties at what was called "The Mayor's country club," many times political in nature.

Pictured: Billie Sprott (wife of Evans Sprott), Mayor Cummings. Final two people on right not yet identified.
