Youth Inc. Country Place was located on Donelson Road, near the Nashville Airport. It consisted of more than 700 acres of forests and fields, a lake and complete camping facilities. The homestead and property was originally owned by Judge Edward H. East. The organization was forced to move in 1955 because of the expansion of Nashville International Airport. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flooded the area to create a reservoir for the Nashville area.
